2025 Program Information

Schedule & Overview

Rehearsals and coaching sessions will be held from July 14th-25th, on Mon., Weds., and Fri., 9:20 AM to 3:30 PM, led by faculty artists from the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra (LSCO), in Duluth, MN. (See our Faculty page to learn more about our exceptional teachers!!!)

Students will also rehearse with the LSCO on Mon., July 21st, and Weds, July 23rd at 7:00 PM, leading up to the public concert performance with the LSCO on the evening of Thursday, July 24th.

The Quartet Project students will present their own public concert on Friday, July 25th, at 4:00 PM, in Weber Hall (UMD Campus).

Activities and rehearsals will be held at Pilgrim Congregational Church and on the UMD Campus.

Program Application

There is a two-part process to apply for the Quartet Project: Registration & Auditions

Registration

To fully register, please complete the registration form and submit your $50 deposit minimum by May 3, 2025.

Auditions

Auditions for the Quartet Project will be conducted virtually in order to group students by ability level and select appropriate music. Students are asked to prepare a short solo piece that showcases their abilities and upload your audition recording to YouTube. Currently formed quartets are welcome to audition together as an ensemble.

You can either enter the Youtube video link in the registration form or email it to [email protected] by May 14th, 2025.

Tuition & Payment

Tuition for the Quartet Project is $280 per student. Discounts are available for families with multiple students.

$50 deposit minimum is due by Friday, May 3, 2025 with a completed registration form to fully register.
(Special Note: Processing fee waived if paid in full!)

Final payment is due by June 14, 2025.

Financial Assistance & Opportunities

As well as discounts available for families with multiple students, we offer guidance to all families on how to file for eligible tax benefits to help offset the cost. Additionally, the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra offers a limited number of need-based scholarships to assist with tuition.
