The Quartet Project, the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra’s educational outreach program, is an intensive summer chamber music program for advanced string instrumentalists.
Participants study chamber music repertoire (quartets, trios, quintets) in addition to orchestral music. Group session topics often include instrument care, musician health, and music theory/composition.
The Quartet Project participants meet in Duluth, MN over two weeks in July for rehearsals, coaching sessions, a side-by-side performance with the LSCO, and a final concert of their own to wrap up the summer program.
Students also receive tickets to the LSCO’s 2025 summer concert performances and a Quartet Project T-Shirt.
